The EBPV Delete Simulator is designed for owners replacing or removing aging factory EBPV components while preventing diagnostic trouble codes.

Jiaozuo, Henan, China – August 24, 2026 – EGR Performance has announced the availability of its EBPV Delete Simulator for 1999–2003 Ford trucks equipped with the 7.3L Powerstroke diesel engine. Designed for owners replacing or removing aging factory Exhaust Backpressure Valve (EBPV) components during turbo or pedestal upgrades, the plug-and-play module helps prevent diagnostic trouble codes without cutting or splicing factory wiring.

More than two decades after production, many 7.3L Powerstroke trucks remain in regular service. As these vehicles age, original EBPV solenoids and turbo pedestal assemblies can develop oil leaks, sticking valves, and electrical faults.

EGR Performance’s EBPV Delete Simulator connects directly to the factory wiring harness after the original EBPV solenoid is removed or disconnected. The module uses a resistor load designed to simulate the electrical signal expected by the vehicle’s Powertrain Control Module (PCM), helping maintain proper system communication and prevent EBPV-related diagnostic trouble codes following compatible modifications.

The simulator can be paired with EGR Performance’s Non-EBPV Turbo Pedestal, giving owners both mechanical and electrical components for an EBPV removal setup. The pedestal replaces the factory assembly and removes the valve and actuator components commonly associated with leaks or sticking concerns.

Key features of the EGR Performance EBPV Delete Simulator include:

  • Direct connection to the factory wiring harness without cutting or splicing

  • Compatibility with 1999–2003 7.3L Powerstroke applications

  • High-temperature materials for under-hood conditions

  • Compatibility with non-EBPV pedestal and turbo replacement projects

Additional replacement parts available for 7.3L Powerstroke applications include:

  • Valve cover gaskets with integrated injector and glow-plug wiring connections

  • Wastegate solenoids

  • Replacement engine wiring harnesses

The replacement components address maintenance needs associated with aging wiring, damaged connectors, oil leaks, rough operation, and inconsistent turbo response.

Shop 99–2003 7.3L Powerstroke EBPV Delete Simulator and related replacement components are currently available through EGR Performance.

“After more than two decades, aging EBPV components can become a common source of oil leaks, sticking, and electrical issues for 7.3L Powerstroke owners,” said Alex Reed, Media Relations at EGR Performance. “The EBPV Delete Simulator is designed to simplify EBPV removal by maintaining the electrical connection expected by the vehicle’s control system.”

Vehicle owners can review product specifications and confirm model-year compatibility with their specific 7.3L Powerstroke application before installation. EGR Performance states that the products are covered by a one-year warranty and a 45-day free return period.
